Valves & fittings included

Fill valve
Double-check filler valve - the connection the delivery truck fills through. 250 gallons and up take the 1-3/4 inch ACME bulk-fill connection.
Service / vapor withdrawal valve
The vapor outlet your installer connects the first-stage regulator to.
Pressure relief valve
Required safety device. Vents to atmosphere if tank pressure rises above the set point, then reseats.
Float gauge
Dial gauge reading tank level as a percentage of capacity.
Liquid withdrawal valve
Draws liquid propane rather than vapor, for transfer and high-demand liquid service.
Vapor return valve
Returns vapor to the delivery vehicle during filling and relieves pressure back to another vessel.

Valves are factory-fitted to the vessel. The regulator, gas line and the propane itself are not included - a licensed installer connects the tank and a licensed supplier makes the first fill.

  • Liftgate service is included on residential freight deliveries.
  • Delivery is curbside: the driver brings it to the vehicle access point, not to the pad. Moving and setting the tank is installation work.
  • The carrier calls the number on your order to book a delivery window, and someone must be there to receive it.
  • Delivery is included in the price you pay at checkout - there is no separate freight invoice afterwards.
  • Ships from the nearest of our three US yards - Michigan, Missouri or Texas.

A 1,000 gallon ASME propane tank that has been inspected, serviced and refurbished, ready to be set and put into service. Refurbishing a sound vessel rather than buying new is the cheapest route to this capacity, and it is the same tank a supplier would install.

Suited to a large home, a farm or a commercial site - at 1,000 gallons you carry enough fuel for whole-house heating, a generator or process load through a winter with far fewer refills than a 250 or 500 gallon tank.

What refurbished means here

  • Inspected and serviced before it leaves our yard.
  • Valves and fittings checked, with anything unserviceable replaced.
  • Exterior prepared and recoated so it is ready to stand outside.
  • Sold with the data plate and ASME stamp intact and legible.

Before you order

  • The tank ships empty. A licensed propane supplier must charge it on site once it is installed - we supply tanks, not gas.
  • Installation and siting must follow NFPA 58 and your local code, and must be carried out by a licensed professional. Confirm clearances with your authority having jurisdiction before ordering.
  • Delivery is by freight truck. You will need clear, firm access for a large vehicle and someone on site to receive it.
