Valves & fittings included
- Fill valve
- Double-check filler valve - the connection the delivery truck fills through. 250 gallons and up take the 1-3/4 inch ACME bulk-fill connection.
- Service / vapor withdrawal valve
- The vapor outlet your installer connects the first-stage regulator to.
- Pressure relief valve
- Required safety device. Vents to atmosphere if tank pressure rises above the set point, then reseats.
- Float gauge
- Dial gauge reading tank level as a percentage of capacity.
- Liquid withdrawal valve
- Draws liquid propane rather than vapor, for transfer and high-demand liquid service.
- Vapor return valve
- Returns vapor to the delivery vehicle during filling and relieves pressure back to another vessel.
Valves are factory-fitted to the vessel. The regulator, gas line and the propane itself are not included - a licensed installer connects the tank and a licensed supplier makes the first fill.
Home delivery included - shipped by freight to your address
- Liftgate service is included on residential freight deliveries.
- Delivery is curbside: the driver brings it to the vehicle access point, not to the pad. Moving and setting the tank is installation work.
- The carrier calls the number on your order to book a delivery window, and someone must be there to receive it.

Tank Specifications:

Bulk propane storage for commercial and agricultural sites
At 2,000 gallons this is bulk storage rather than a household tank: about 1,600 usable gallons at the 80% fill line. It is the size that suits crop drying, greenhouse and poultry heating, fleet and forklift refuelling, manufacturing process heat, and multi-building sites where a delivery truck visiting weekly is not an option. The economics are simple - the bigger the vessel, the fewer the deliveries and the better the price per gallon you can negotiate.
Buying at this size
A 2,000 gallon vessel is a site decision as much as a purchase. Setback distances from buildings, property lines and ignition sources are set by NFPA 58 and your local authority having jurisdiction, and at this capacity the requirements are stricter than for a domestic tank - as is the access a delivery truck needs to reach it. Talk to us before you order if you are not certain the site will take it; we would rather answer that question first than send a vessel this size to a location that cannot receive it.
