Twelve 33.5 lb motive-power cylinders is a working day's stock for a busy forklift fleet, and loose storage of that many cylinders is what fire inspectors write up. This 44 × 68 × 30 inch powder-coated steel cabinet answers the storage question directly: cylinders sit upright and ventilated, the door locks against tampering and theft, the required "Propane", "2-4-0" and "No Smoking" decals arrive fitted, and the footpads with 13/16″ holes take anchor bolts so the cage stays where it was sited.
Steel is the value choice for cage duty and shrugs off forklift-yard knocks; if the cage will live uncovered on a coastal or wash-down site, consider the aluminum version of this same cabinet. Site the cage outdoors away from ignition sources and building openings per NFPA 58 and your local fire code - your inspector will care about placement and signage as much as the enclosure.
